Date: February 9th-11th, 2018 (event times, places, and dates will vary depending on event) See website for further details: http://www.mywarriorsplace.org/battle-of-the-bay.html EVENT DESCRIPTIONS: (choose events you want to participate in)TMC will be paying for the events registrations. Fishing Tournament: A 2 person team competition. It is a catch, photo, release fishing tournament in Tampa Bay and surrounding area. Classifications are kayaks/wading, boats and fly fishing. Shooting Competition: An individual competition. This event will be a fixed time, specific number of rounds on steel targets using both a Glock17, 9mm, and an AR15 223Cal. with iron sights on both. Firearms and ammunition will be provided. Each competitor will be given a slotted time to shoot so that they may participate in another event if they choose to do so. Slotted shooting times will be based on the number of competitors and will also take into account those competitors who are participating in more than one event. Bring your own eyes and ears or you can purchase from Gun Craft. Shooters in the event must be 18 years of age or older. Skydiving Competition: An individual competition. It will be an Expert and Novice Accuracy Competition (landing closest to the target for both solo and tandem jumpers but there is a twist to it for the tandem jumpers which will be easy to do and will be fun). Skydiving rigs will be provided but solo jumpers can bring their own. Solo jumpers must have an up-to-date license and all jumpers must be 18 years of age or older. Survival Race Competition: A 2 person team competition. It will start at My Warrior’s Place and end at Little Harbor. Event is timed and includes a 2 Mile 40lb Ruck Sack Race (20lb for those who are under the age of 12 and over the age of 50 or weigh less than 120lbs), a canoe race, a 35 foot traversing wall, 45 feet of wipeout balls, 30 feet of 4x4 board walk balancing stick & ball, bean bag toss knocking over cans, starting a fire using a fire stick and solving a giant puzzle. Participants only need to furnish their own ruck sacks and weights. Ride 4 The Fallen Poker Run: An individual competition - The Ride will start at AMVET Post 44 located at 5521 S.R. 60 East, Plant City, FL 33567 and end at Little Harbor. There will be 3 stops in between the starting and end points & best poker hand wins. 6 Person TMC Challenge: Let's challenge our buddies Team RWB & WWP Peer Support Group to 3-4 events. NON-COMPETITORS: ​You are invited to come and watch any of the events and cheer on your favorite competitor or team. We suggest you bring lawn chairs to relax in while watching the events. If you are going to watch the skydiving you may want to also bring along some binoculars.
