Wreaths Across America

December 16, 2017

09:00 AM - 12:00 PM MST

Phoenix Platoon

Event overview

Wreaths Across America works each year to ensure every headstone is covered and we need your help to honor all those who served and made the ultimate sacrifice. The majority of our donations come from the grassroots support of families and individuals, one wreath at a time. Each live balsam wreath is a gift of respect and appreciation, and placed on the graves by volunteers as a small gesture of gratitude. This wreath laying ceremony occurs at veterans’ cemeteries and other locations in all 50 states and beyond. This day event is made possible by thousands of volunteers who organize local ceremonies, raise funds to sponsor wreaths, and participate in the events. The ceremony lasts approx. 45 min and the wreath laying is immediately following. Let us respectfully pay tribute to the lasting sacrifice that protects our freedoms by placing a wreath on these veteran graves. It is a wonderful ceremony that liberates the reason for this coming season. Please come join us and many from our platoon members as we Honor our fallen. We are supporting the Old Guard Riders-Phoenix as they raise funds for Wreaths Across America. One day we may actually be able to honor every burial marker with a wreath but until then we will continue our efforts to raise the funds for many of the prior-era veterans who are buried at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona (AZNMCP).

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
