Operation Nourish: Hillsborough Mega Pantry

Operation Nourish is in full swing come volunteer along side other volunteers and fellow platoon members to distribute food to the Tampa Bay Community. Although we are months into the pandemic food insecurity has spiked as the summer months have presented a new challenge with getting more food to more families that need it. We hope that you will join us in filling a need that is sweeping across the nation. Here is more information about Feeding Tampa Bay and the event itself. BECAUSE NO ONE SHOULD GO HUNGRY Feeding Tampa Bay, part of the national Feeding America network, focuses on providing food to the hundreds of thousands of food insecure families in the 10-county area of West Central Florida. We ask for 1 adult for every 5 youths. Here are some important reminders to help you best prepare for your time with us: 1. In order to volunteer with us, you MUST wear closed toe shoes. *Your safety is important to us. If you arrive in open-toe shoes, we cannot guarantee an activity for you to participate in and you may be asked to come back another time. 2. We provide all orientation on site at the start of your service - no need to study anything before you see us! 3. All volunteers will check in with the Feeding Tampa Bay staff member on site who will direct you to sign in and fill out a name tag. 4. Masks and gloves will be provided to all volunteers on site.
