Event overview

Join us in serving our community with Operation Stand Down Central Texas (OSDCT) at the 5th Annual Spring Stand Down & City of Killeen Community Triage. The Mission Continues' (TMC) Killeen 1st Service Platoon will provide donation and personnel support for the Operation Stand Down Central Texas' (OSDCT) “5th Annual Spring Stand Down & City of Killeen Community Triage” event on May 2, 2020, from 8:00 A.M.– 3:00 P.M., CST. The OSDCT will provide the homeless with a hot meal, haircut, medical & dental screenings, new clothing, and essential hygiene products. Additionally, OSDCT is hosting the Veterans Administration (VA), Texas Veterans Commission (TVC), and other nonprofit organizations that will provide information and services to homeless veterans. This event will host an estimated 500+ participants during which time TMC will display an information table. We need volunteers who are able and willing to work during the event as well as preparation prior, set-up, and tear down after the event. If you are able and willing to serve with us, please kindly register your participation through this website. Please come and join us in serving our community. Together, everyone achieves more! Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
