June 6th, 2019. We are leading the effort this year for Operation Clean Sweep. Every year, after the Memorial day holiday and passed, there have been groups of veterans and non-veterans that have participated in helping the Fort Snelling Cemetery grounds crews clean up from the holiday so they can continue their work in keeping the cemetery clean and well maintained. The Mission Continues Twin Cities Platoons are running point on this again this year. We are looking for people to sign up for either the AM (0800-1200) or the PM shift (11:30-1600) or both. We will have both VSO’s and other corporate groups out for his large event. We will be looking for volunteers to help with the clean sweep along with support personnel for areas like check in, supply runners, area captains and set up and tear down. Please consider this event – bring the family out. It’s a great way to see and teach the next generation as to why a place like this is so important. Lunch will be provided and be served at 1130.
