Event overview

The Miami Service Platoon is partnering with Miami Dade Parks, Recreation & Open Spaces for an incredibly impactful MLK Day of Service event. We will be building out a sensory garden space at AD Barnes Park that will allow for adults with disabilities to engage in gardening and growing food. The day will include lunch and is a family friendly event, so grab the kids, grab a veteran and come out and enjoy this special day with us! Event location in the park: Once in park GO LEFT to Leisure Access Building and Parking Area

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
