MLK Day Service Project at Fulton Leadership Academy

January 20, 2020

09:00 AM - 02:00 PM EST

Atlanta Platoon

Event overview

This January, The Mission Continues is issuing a call to serve in celebration of The Martin Luther King Jr. National Day of Service through our campaign #LegacyofService. The Martin Luther King Jr. National Day of Service is a day we salute those who fought, and continue to fight, for equality and justice both in and out of uniform. We proudly recognize that our country is shaped and improved by the activism of its citizens, looking to the Civil Rights Movement as an example of Americans working to create a brighter future for our nation. We continue to serve because there is still work to be done, and veterans are uniquely suited to lead positive change. Please join us at Fulton Leadership Academy for a campus beautification project in celebration of MLK Day. Our team will work on making improvements to the school's athletic field in addition to numerous indoor and outdoor projects throughout the campus. All ages and volunteer skill-levels are welcome. See you there!

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
