Wreaths Across America Day

December 14, 2019

11:30 AM - 03:00 PM EST

Orlando Platoon

Event overview

Join us on National Wreaths Across America Day! Each December on National Wreaths Across America Day, our mission to Remember, Honor and Teach is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as at more than 1,600 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea and abroad. The Mission Continues Orlando Platoons is supporting Wreaths Across America on National Wreaths Across America Day on December 14, 2019 at Pineywood Cemetery in Winter Park, Florida. As a volunteer, you'll join hundreds of thousands of your fellow Americans that donate their time to place wreaths on the markers of fallen heroes. Volunteers then "say their name" to ensure that the legacy of duty, service, and sacrifice of each veteran is never forgotten. There is no age limit to volunteer and, in fact, we encourage families to come and share in this patriotic experience! Register with Wreaths Across America and be sure to register with our platoon as well. Wreaths Across America Registration: https://www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/pages/153062/Overview/?relatedId=0

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
