The Mission Continues is supporting National Parks Conservation Association and the Parks Project with a park restoration project in the City of Glendale on Saturday, January 25, 2020. It will take place at Brand Park, in the Verdugo Mountains, in the proposed Rim of the Valley expansion of the Santa Monica Mountains Nat'l Rec Area. Project Schedule: 8:00 am: Check-In/Orientation, Please Be Prompt! 8:15-11:45 am: Service Project 12:00 pm: Lunch & Appreciation Ceremony The City of Glendale Parks and Recreation Department is sanctioning and supervising the project, which will primarily engage the volunteers in removing invasion plants to allow for native habitat to flourish in the park. Join us for some fun in the sun and start the year with a meeting with nature lovers and hear the 2020 plan for National Parks Conservation Associations.
