Come out and us for a day of service at the Manuel Perez Jr American Legion Post in Little Village! This event is part of The Mission Continues national Veterans Day campaign and we chose this American Legion post because it is named in honor of Manuel Perez Jr. who was posthumously awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for his actions in the Battle of Luzon, Philippine Islands in February 1945, a month before he was killed in action. During our day of service we will help finish painting the bar, an interior hallway and another room at the American Legion Post. This event is a follow on to the work we started during Warrior Week in September. Bring the family and honor Manny Perez, Jr with us at this project!
