Celebration of Service with Rebuilding Together Pittsburgh

October 18, 2019

08:30 AM - 03:30 PM EDT

Pittsburgh Platoon

Event overview

Who you will be serving: Ada's lived in her home for over 30 years. It means a lot to her. She says that living in their neighborhood is like heaven, and that their neighbors are great. Her son Robert moved back to help take care of her, but neither of them can keep up with the house. They appreciate and are excited for all the help. About the day: Rebuilding Together Pittsburgh staff will lead volunteers in some home repair projects. These projects are often dirty and dusty, so please dress appropriately in closed-toe shoes and long pants. RTP will provide coffee and light refreshments in the morning, bottled water & coffee throughout the day, and lunch. Personal protective equipment, first aid kits, tools, and materials will be on site as well. Scope of Work:  Pull carpet in dining room  Install Luan underlayment  Install vinyl flooring (if time)  Paint rear porch & steps All volunteers must be 16 years of age or older. Please also register with RTP: https://sforce.co/330rv1i Please note: the address listed is not that of the homeowner but a nearby business. We will provide the address of the homeowner prior to the project.
