The trip is only one day, but the experience is life-changing” On Saturday November 2, 2019 TMC will join Team Rubicon (TR) at the National Marine Corps Museum to greet approximately 75 WWII and Korean War Veterans will be arriving from Southern Virginia to tour the National Museum of the Marine Corps and the DC Memorials. Join us as TMC/TR members welcome these veterans to the National Museum of the Marine Corps. For most they have no idea they will be welcomed by cheering crowds!! The event is emotional and has been known to bring a tear or two the veterans and maybe even a greeter or two. Immediately following the welcoming event, you are free to walk through the Museum with these veterans. In many cases, you will have the opportunity to hear their firsthand accounts of their time in service. There is also a docent lead tour at 1000 for those interested. Admission to the Museum is free.
