Event overview

In honor of Veterans Day, come join Baltimore's 1st Service Platoon at the Robert W. Coleman Elementary School (formerly known as the Roots and Branches School) in Harlem Park West (HPW), on November 9, 2019. This service project will also double as a school supply drive, to further ensure a successful school year for the students and staff members of the Robert W. Coleman Elementary School!! Service project activities shall include: painting, cleaning & beautifying the teaching garden, constructing bookshelves and implementing an improved storage solution for the school's food pantry. School Supply Drive: Items being sought include: loose leaf notebook paper; boys & girls white and light blue polo and button-up shirts (sizes 4-16); boys navy blue pants (sizes 4-16); boys & girls undergarments, hats, gloves, and scarves. Come connect, celebrate and serve alongside veterans, as we put our unique skills to use, to create a positive and everlasting change in the Harlem Park West community!! Looking forward to seeing you there!!

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
