#Veterans, family and friends! Would you like to help local homeless and at-risk Veterans connect with resources they need? Come volunteer at the upcoming Stand Down for Homeless Veterans! On Saturday, October 26, your New Orleans Veterans medical center will hold their annual Stand Down event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Veterans in need can come get connected with the following services: homeless services, food, clothing, hygiene kits, counseling, basic health care screenings, limited mental health, housing referrals, legal assistance, flu shots, vocational rehab and employment services, community services for prevention of homelessness and much more! Join VA and our community partners in helping our homeless and at-risk Veterans as a Stand Down Volunteer. *****Orientation Volunteer Shifts: Orientation is required to volunteer ____ October 5 th (Saturday) 9 am- 11 am ____ October 10 th (Thursday) 4:30 pm- 6:30 pm ____ October 16 th (Wednesday) 5- 7 pm ____ October 19 th (Saturday) 9- 11 am ____ October 22 nd (Tuesday) 5- 7 pm
