Operation Green Thumb

March 28, 2020

Boise Platoon

Event overview

Help prepare for the next service projects! Boise 1st Platoon is building and repairing gardens at two local elementary schools. Since these projects have been pushed back, we need plant foster homes! Sign up to receive two simple planter kits (one for the school and one for you to keep). We'll do a virtual setup all together, foster the baby fruit/veggies, and then bring our masterpieces to the next service projects! This is PERFECT for those who love to garden AND those who have zero experience. Let's "come together" to provide food for our community! We will adjust the day/times for virtual setup if shipping takes longer or schedules conflict. Current day/time is a placeholder.

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
