9/11 Day of Service

Join us as we honor 9/11 with a project at Crossroads Community Services. Crossroads’ mission is to nourish Dallas County’s low-income families by providing nutritious food and supportive education. Crossroads has inherited the North Texas Food Bank’s South Dallas location and this new space offers them an additional 45,000 sq. ft. to better serve more people facing food insecurity by serving as a client-choice food pantry and a distribution hub for local food banks. We will be leading a project to make this new space their own! We need volunteers to help us paint, build picnic tables and a play space for their children area plus have fun! We will be joined by our Service Leadership Corps, a six-month community-based leadership program for US Military veterans and current members of the National Guard and Reserves. Registration opens at 9:30 AM with kick off starting at 10:00 AM and lunch at 2:00PM. We look forward to having you there to help leave an everlasting mark at CCS!
