This is a One-Stop shop for people experiencing homelessness in our community where they can receive a variety of health and human services. These services include; medical, mental health, substance abuse, legal, housing, free haircuts, eyeglasses, food, clothing and more.
The event will be held at the Family Impact Center at 105 E Ash St, Columbia, MO. They are wanting to have us volunteers from 0730-1030 am or 1030-1230 pm, we will be helping to set up, checking in, directing people, serving food, and tearing down after the event ends at 1230 pm, etc. If you can't volunteer the whole time you can choose a time that works for you.
You'll have the opportunity to become more familiar with resources in the community, meet new people and help to provide basic needs to those experiencing homelessness.
This is one of our semi annual support events that is really a very interesting, knowledgeable and helpful time for our homeless and volunteers as well.
Hope to see you there!
