Come out and celebrate Pride Month with free ice cream at the Texas A&M University-Central Texas (TAMUCT), Warrior Hall sidewalk on June 19th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, CST. This event is in coordination with TAMUCT's Office of Institutional Compliance. Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Month (LGBT Pride Month) is currently celebrated each year in June to honor the 1969 Stonewall uprising in Greenwich Village. The Stonewall uprising was a tipping point for the Gay Liberation Movement in the United States. The purpose of the commemorative month is to recognize the impact that lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals have had on history locally, nationally, and internationally.
