Tacoma Platoon

Event overview

The Tacoma 1st Platoon is teaming up with our friends over at the Odd Otter Brewing Company to host a monthly Social for all platoon members, veteran service organizations, and those who are interested in learning more about the above. Platoon Members - This is an awesome opportunity to find out what's on the calendar for TMC. VSO's - What a great way to reach out to our Veteran community and share what your org has on the plate. Socials will be held monthly, on the third Tuesday of every month, from 6-8 PM, and guess what, the Odd Otter hosts Karaoke immediately afterwards...so feel free to stick around after the event. The Odd Otter is a Veteran-owned, local brewing company, where 4 out of 7 bartenders on staff are veterans. And to top it all off, veterans, their spouses and first responders get 15% off everything...so there's really no reason for you to skip it. Hopefully we will see you out there, as we celebrate TMC's accomplishments, highlight upcoming events, see what other VSOs have on tap, and share a beverage with our community.

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
