Memorial Day is an opportunity for us to come together and honor those who have fallen in service to our nation. We can honor their legacy by continuing to serve our nation even after we have taken off our uniforms. South Tucson is a close knit community with a lot of great people who call it home. There are dozens of Vietnam War veterans, and families who have lost sons and daughters for America. We have an opportunity to support them and join their efforts to beautify their neighborhood. Mission 1: We are going to clean up some abandoned properties. Unfortunately, there are people who continue to illegally dump their junk in South Tucson. We can fix that! Mission 2: We are going to help some neighbors with their yards. Many elderly and disabled people live in South Tucson; we can help them catch up on the heavy lifting. Mission 3: Plant wildflower seeds. A simple way to add on-going beauty to the neighborhood! Mission 4: Have a great time. We will have a BBQ, and get to know each other. Join us in continuing to serve our fellow Americans.
