Veterans Park Restoration Project

Event overview

This summer, El Paso 1st Platoon will join our lead sponsor, Prudential and the City of El Paso in a collaborative project to restore two of Sun City's very own military parks: Veterans Park and the WWII Men of Company E Park. We will primarily work at Veterans' Park to concentrate our efforts where most needed. Tasks are as follows: Tree Planting Landscaping Gardening Painting curbs Painting exterior and interior walls Clear weeds and debri from ball field and parking lot Clean playground of grime and debri We are excited to join Prudential for this great citywide project in collaboration with various partners across the city. In addition to volunteering, we will also be collecting nonperishable food items to donate to El Pasoans Fighting Hunger as we continue our efforts to increase food security in the city. Run of Show: 7-7:15am Registration 7:15-730am Opening Ceremony- Team Distribution 7:30am- 11:30am Project Execution 11:30am-12:00pm Clean Up/Close Out 12:00pm-3:00pm Volunteer Appreciation Cookout Celebration About Prudential's Community Support: Prudential invested in creating long-term partnerships that strengthen communities, help tackle social challenges and solve complex problems. Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities.
