Event overview

The Mission Continues' Killeen 1st Service Platoon and American Veterans Mission (AVM) will hold a Volunteer Appreciation Dinner in conjunction with a formal meeting with other nonprofit leaders at the Texas A&M University-Central Texas, Warrior Hall 403, on Saturday, May 11, 2019. The event will begin promptly at 6:00 P.M. and will end at approximately 9:00 P.M, Central Standard Time (CST). This event will include dinner catered by Let Us Do The Cooking, LLC, an award presentation to our platoon's most active volunteers, speakers from various nonprofit organizations in Central Texas including, but not limited to, the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), PTSD USA.org, Military Officers Association of America (MOAA), American Veterans Mission (AVM), and Artist 2 Artist (Art of Heroes). Several of the attendees will travel from out of state to attend this momentous event as our platoon reaches its sixth month or half-year anniversary. The event will allow the leadership team of Killeen 1st Service Platoon to formally recognize the hard work, dedication, and community involvement of its volunteer force while also solidifying our partnerships with other excellent nonprofit organizations in our local community. We want to thank the Texas A&M University-Central Texas for providing the venue place and police security for the event. We also like to thank the American Veterans Mission for providing the gifts and awards for this event.
