Event overview

Join the ladies of Delta Phi Chi Military Sorority, Inc., the American Veterans Mission, The Mission Continues' Killeen 1st Service Platoon, and other nonprofit organizations and volunteers for our Annual Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Awareness 5K Walk in Killeen, Texas. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder affects up to 20% of all combat veterans. These are invisible wounds that our sisters/brothers-in-Arms return home with that commonly go untreated. The members of Delta Phi Chi are on a mission and committed to building a lasting legacy of combating untreated Mental Health diseases, through research, networks, and inventions. Our nonprofit partner, American Veterans Mission (AVM) is sponsoring the event along with other local nonprofits in the community. The Mission Continues' Killeen 1st Service Platoon will provide in-kind donations (water, food, snacks) and will volunteer for the event to help our partners ensure its success. DJ Sprad will be on site to provide musical motivation to our walkers and participants. Please help our men and women who have served or are still serving in our armed forces dispel the stigma get the treatment they need by supporting this event in spreading awareness about PTSD. #CharlieMike
