Boise Platoon

Event overview

Join us for a quick lunch hour support project! We will be setting up the United Way's satellite office location for their annual book drive. This event provides books for hundreds of Treasure Valley children who do not have books to read at home. Our platoon will be setting up tables, hanging banners, and staging the area for the huge 3 day book drive packing and distribution. Lunch will be provided while we work! Come over lunch and stay for however long you are available. Family friendly, everyone is welcome!

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
