Earth Day at Mosaic Prep Academy

Join us as The Mission Continues Harlem Platoon returns to Mosaic Prep Academy in East Harlem once again to participate in a large day of service geared towards revitalizing the school so that it is safe and optimizes student's learning experience. During our Veterans Day service project last year, our team of motivated veterans demolished old benches and garden bed that were no longer usable. This Earth Day, our platoon will build the school new benches and garden beds so that the school can restart it's agriculture program to teach it's scholars about fruits, vegetables, and the joys of growing food. Project tasks for the day will include installing a privacy screen on their patio, building deck benches, building garden beds, building kids picnic tables, building bird-feeders, mounting an outdoor chalkboard to a wall, building 2 Adirondack chairs, demolishing 15 benches, painting the back wall of the auditorium, and if we have enough people, painting a couple classrooms. We need all the hands possible to make this project a success. We look forward to seeing you there!
