Feeding Families With LA3-TMC @ Watts Century Latino Org.

December 15, 2018

08:00 AM - 05:00 PM PST

Los Angeles Platoon

Event overview

Help make “Happier Holidays” for local Watts & South Los Angeles families by volunteering some time to prep and pack Family Food Bags with Watts Century Latino & LA 3rd platoon! This will be a two day project and we need anyone with any open time to help us out. On December 14th (Friday) our team will be unpacking the non-perishable food in preparation for the packing of the 500 grocery bags of food. Our team will be on deck on Friday from 9AM to 3PM. On December 15th (Saturday) from 7AM to 5PM the platoon will be helping with the end of the prep phase and onward to the packing phase for the 500 Family Food Bag effort. This will be a long day but well worth it. We do not require anyone to stay the entire time but instead are asking for any amount of time our team members can give us. This policy applies to both days of service. For anyone who has specific hours of commitment in mind please email our platoon lead Miguel Vazquez @ mvazquez@missioncontinues.org

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
