Denver Platoon

Event overview

Team, Get into the patriotic spirit a day early during the Independence Eve festivities on July 3. This free celebration features music, a light show, and fireworks set among the grand architecture of Civic Center Park, a historic 12-acre gathering space that serves as the civic and cultural heart of Denver. Colorado's own Chris Daniels and the Kings and the 101st Army Band from Buckley Air Force Base will perform patriotic and contemporary music. Bring your blankets and low rise chairs and be sure to arrive early to get a great spot on the lawn. Concessions are available onsite, but you can also bring a picnic (no glass containers) to enjoy while watching the show. The park is easily accessible by light rail and free 16th Street MallRide. It's the perfect way to kick off your celebrations in Fourth of July in Denver!
