In solemn tribute and remembrance of the brave American soldiers who have died in military service, The Mission Continues - Orlando will be placing flags before nearly 1,000 headstones in support of ‘Flags for Fallen Vets.’ This year they will be coordinating the placement of more than 100,000 flags within the 517-acres of the Florida National Cemetery. I’m looking forward to seeing new members, old members, and community supporters bring themselves and their families out for what is sure to be a heartwarming experience. A light breakfast will be provided at my specially adapted home in Winter Garden between 07:00 and 08:00. At approximately 08:00 our 15pax van will be departing to carpool to Bushnell, a little less than an hour drive west. For those who choose to drive themselves, please arrive no later than 09:00 and our section will be 302-319. The main entrance to the Cemetery is still congested with construction so please consider entering from the Maintenance Entrance (Right on Apalachee Way. 302-319 is on the left) *If you can’t attend on May 27th, please consider attending June 2nd’s flag pickup event*
