September 11th National Day of Service

Please join us as we honor 9/11 and commemorate the one-year anniversary of Hurricane Harvey. We are returning to L and S Small World Academy, one of three early childhood education centers in Independence Heights, that was severely impacted by Hurricane Harvey. Prior to Harvey, this center was the largest center for the community serving over 150 youth. Our focus is to help this center return to working condition so that they can continue serving the children and families of this community. Volunteers are needed to clear debris, tear down dilapidated structures, painting (interior and exterior), landscaping and more! Breakfast and registration will start at 8:30 am so that we can start promptly at 9 am. We look forward to honoring our veterans, serving the community and making a great impact in the Independence Heights community.
