Service Project

Veterans Day at Everglades National Park

November 11, 2017

09:00 AM - 12:00 PM EST

Miami Platoon

Event overview

We are going to clear fallen trees and other debris obstructing the 3-in-1 trail in the Long Pine Key District of the Park. This trail is a key educational spot and among the most popular for visiting school groups because it encompasses three distinct ecosystems all on one trail. The trail is unpaved and runs ½ mile. After this family friendly event, a catered lunch will be provided while we enjoy the beauty of Everglades National Park.

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
