Event overview

The Mission Continues Service Platoons from Miami, Broward, Tampa and Orlando will join forces with National Parks Conservation Association, Outward Bound and civic leaders in Everglades City to deploy to Everglades City to assist the community with hurricane recovery and cleanup. Service completed during the weekend to include: • Distribute 375+ backpacks filled with school supplies to three local schools in dire need • Muck out damaged homes, cut trees and remove debris at homes of identified local teachers, disabled veterans, and elderly residents • Partner with Outward Bound to restore their camp grounds TMC Miami/Broward will be taking 15 volunteers that don't mind getting dirty and have a heart to serve! TMC will provide all you need for the trip (i.e. transportation, place to stay, food, logistics), so ALL YOU NEED is YOU and YOUR GEAR! Date: October 27 - 29 Time: Leave Friday evening (10/27) and return Sunday afternoon (10/29) Remember there is LIMITED SPACE, ITS 1ST COME 1ST SERVE, so register now if interested. Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
