Please join us on Veteran's Day for an afternoon of celebration, ceremony and camaraderie. See below for a schedule of events. 10:30 AM - Meet at Solider Field, Gate 0 (1410 Museum Campus Dr) 11:00 AM - City of Chicago Veteran's Day Ceremony 12:00 PM - Free transportation to Thunderbolt Axe Throwing (4842 W Irving Park Rd) 1:00 PM - Axe throwing (participation with donation item, lunch will be provided) 3:00 PM - Drinks and networking, MCM Sports Bar and Grille This event is FREE, but to participate, you must bring one new household item to be donated to Jesse Brown VA. Items will be given to homeless veterans transitioning into permanent housing. Lunch will be provided. You must be 18 to throw axes, but minors may attend as spectators Suggested donation items Kitchen Trash Can (Plastic) Windex Pine Sol Dishwashing Liquid Dishcloth Sponge Mop Bucket Broom Dustpan Paper Towels Shower Curtain Toilet Paper (4 or 6 pack) Plunger Toilet Brush Toilet Bowl Cleaner Bath Towels (2) Wash Cloth Smoke Detector Battery Flashlight w/Batteries Wall Calendar Appointment Book Garbage Bags Laundry Basket Hamper Laundry Detergent Aluminum Foil Light Bulbs Baby Diapers

Participants should wear flexible and comfortable clothing. The only requirement is that participants may not wear high-heeled shoes or open-toe shoes.
