NOLA 1st Service Platoon will be conducting our FIRST EVER service event at Sankofa Market. This facility grows fresh produce that is sold in the Lower Ninth Ward. Sankofa's goal is to support the creation of a local environment that promotes positive health outcomes and builds healthier communities for generations to come. We will be extending their deck to allow for more space to sell their produce as well as providing shading for a seating area. As you may remember, we had an event planned with Sankofa but had to cancel due to weather. They are excited to finally host us and we are excited to work with such an awesome organization. Due to the nature of this event, we ask that you refrain from bringing small children. As always, lunch and refreshments will be provided Space is limited to 20 volunteers for this event.
