Come out and join YOUR Portland 1st Platoon, as they join the Veterans student body at Portland State University, and their awesome Veterans Resource Center, for a Veterans Day Celebration. ABOUT THE PSU VRC The Veterans Resource Center serves as a baseline of support for student veterans, active duty service members and dependents in order to meet their unique academic, professional and personal needs. The Veterans Resource Center provides faculty, staff and administrators with the necessary resources and information to support our military-connected community. The vision of the Veterans Resource Center is to ensure that all military-connected students (veterans, active duty, and dependents) transition successfully from the onset of admission to graduation. Portland State University was founded for WWII veterans in 1946 and Felita Singleton serves as the Director of the VRC that serves more than 1000 military-connected students at PSU. They offer a student lounge for meetings, eating lunch or just relaxing between classes. They also have a computer lab with printers; along with services such as career and academic advising, disability service accommodations, Lift for the 22, and more!
