Get excited for a joint service project between Beneath the Service and The Mission Continues. Women from the current WVLP cohort will be serving at Plummer Elementary School!
Plummer Elementary School, located in the heart of Washington D.C.'s Ward 7, is a cornerstone of its community, providing a nurturing and high-quality education to a diverse student body. The school offers a variety of enriching programs designed to support student growth, leadership and creativity including: Girl Scouts, Theater, Jumpstart, and sports. Plummer Elementary is led by Principal Tamara Clemmons (she), an experienced educator and advocate for STEM programming.
Project Tasks Include:
-Establishing a pollinator garden
-Interior painting including school name, branding, and creative enhancements
-Painting the teacher's lounge and creating a pumping area
-Improving the playground area including painting a large USA map
