Earth Month: Rooted In Service with Durand Eastman Beach

Join The Mission Continues as we partner with the Seneca Park Zoo for their annual Earth Day clean up at Durand Eastman Beach!

Last year, this event removed over 340 lbs of trash with 109 volunteers - this year we can do even better! This is your chance to experience the camaraderie and teamwork from working alongside veterans and community members. Whether you’re a veteran or not, you’ll gain a unique perspective on service as we all unite to give back to our communities. Through your efforts, you'll help foster a sense of purpose, connection, and growth among those who have served our country.

Report for duty in your community and be part of something bigger.

Please dress for the weather and bring water. Tools, bags, and gloves will be provided. All ages are welcome!

There is an opportunity to assist with event breakdown at the zoo after the beach cleanup. Any volunteers who support that are able to explore the zoo once the breakdown is complete!
