Boston Platoon

Event overview

Join the Boston Platoon in supporting the Greater Boston Food Bank packaging meal boxes for people in need in the Greater Boston Area. We’ll be working in the warehouse, inspecting, sorting, and repacking donated food and grocery products. Some volunteers load boxes onto conveyor belts, some inspect or sort products, and others check and label boxes. While a few of these tasks require the ability to lift a 30 pound box, most tasks require a volunteer to stand and inspect products or package boxes.

*Minimum volunteer age is 16. Participants ages 16 & 17 must have chaperone. *Please remember to wear closed-toed shoes for your shift (no sandals or flip flops).

**PLEASE NOTE: If you are signing up from a company volunteer portal, an additional step to complete your registration is required. Please complete the following steps:

1. Visit www.missioncontinues.org/service-platoon/Greater-Boston/
2. Locate the event and complete registration
