El Paso Platoon

Event overview

Operation Santa Claus (Op Santa), originated at the El Paso Post Newspaper in 1929 and it was named “Handy Santa.” In 1957, Master Sergeant Philip Trout recognized the critical community need and organized the program at Fort Bliss. Due to his military association, he named the program Operation Santa Claus. Today they provide toys to several thousand military and civilian Families.

We will be assisting them with the following tasks:
Nov. 20: Clean Up Warehouse from 0900 to 1200
Dec. 4: Fill bags with toys from 0900 to 1200

Please choose which dates you would like to volunteer for and register for that specific date.

This event is on Fort Bliss and will require volunteers to be signed on to the base if they do not have a military ID. Please contact Bonnie if you have any questions.
