Baltimore 1st Platoon is dedicated to improving the schools and public spaces of Harlem Park West through community driven, volunteer engagement.

Following the death of Freddie Gray in 2015 and the consequential civil unrest, neighbors and community organizations banded together to begin restoring the identity and prosperity of Harlem Park.

Baltimore 1st Platoon works closely with Roots & Branches School and the Harlem Park West Neighborhood Association to help tackle some of the neighborhoods' most challenging issues through sacrifice, service, and camaraderie.
