Aloha, and Mahalo for your interest in the O’ahu 1st Service Platoon.

The O’ahu 1st Platoon focuses its energy on youth development, maintenance of our National Parks and Beaches, and reconnecting with the local veteran community.

An ongoing Operation is forming that will see the Service Platoon partner with several groups on O’ahu, to tackle challenges faced by youth organizations and public schools. We are currently serving Farrington High School and the Kamaaina school district where we are helping to promote student engagement, school pride and assistance in recertification.

In our never ending commitment to towards respecting our planet we have created opportunities in environmental stewardship such as adopting a portion of Blaisdell Park Pearl Harbor Historic Trail, assisting in the WWII encampment excavation at Honouliuli National Monument, and overgrowth clearing at Heritage Park.

O’ahu 1st platoon also engages in a wide variety of social activities that promote positivity and mental well-being such as runs, festivals, beach days and other regale type events.

O’ahu 1st Platoon continues to excel by taking initiative and incorporating other organizations, not normally part of our scope, as resources in our ever expanding mission to become leaders in the ongoing change needed to help O’ahu promote awareness and self-improvement.

We encourage you to become a Leader in our ever growing Ohana and join us in Continuing the Mission.
Every month, you can count on either a Hana (Service) Project, a kōkua (Support) Project, or a Social Event.

The work promises to be challenging, but also incredibly rewarding. We hope to see you soon.

Mahalo Nui Loa.
