Event overview

This community garden is one of the largest and oldest in the SFRPD program and given the demographic of community members that it serves has huge impact on the local atmosphere! Our projected scope of work will include but not be limited to: Reconstruct raised garden plots (made from wood) that have fallen into disrepair Perform maintenance on the public pathways between the plots Demo failed wooden retaining wall Install replacement retaining wall construct picnic table. Lots of large and small projects on this one everybody. plenty of work no matter what your experience level, so bring friends and family! We have access to public restrooms within 15 feet of garden in clear view. The site can be accessed by 10-15 minute walk from 24th St Bart, or the 33, 9, and 90 buses all stop within a block of the park. There are three entrances to the park, the project is at the bottom of the park nearest the freeway, behind the skate park right next to the restrooms.
