Event overview

The city of Arlington has received recognition for their efforts to increase urban tree canopy cover and minimize urban air pollution. Therefore, Arlington Platoon's first service project with Arlington Parks and Recreation Department will be to help plant trees along Green Oaks Blvd in Arlington to support ongoing efforts. • Date/Time: September 30, 2017 at 9 a.m.-noon • Goal: Plant 50 trees along Green Oaks Blvd between New York to Collins. • Needs: 20-25 volunteers • Note: Holes will be dug for the trees prior to the event, we would just need to plant, set, mulch, and stake trees. Breakfast and lunch will be provided!!
