RCW, Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy, Got Gifts Outreach, Green Scheme, & Peace Rally DC is proud to bring the 2nd Annual DC Takeover Workout and Health Symposium being held on September 16th in Washington, D.C. this event will provide education on common chronic illnesses and distributing surrounding communities resources such as how to create sustainable gardens in their own backyards and how to prepare healthier meals with the food they readily have available to address issues of health and nutrition.
The event will kick off with a workout bright and early at 10 a.m featuring 10 trainers who will give an action packed 40 min hour workout giving variations of styles and techniques for exercising at home and outdoors for the attendees.
There will be food prepared by renowned local chefs along with fun activities for the family and children to include live cooking demos, face painting, canvas artists, moon bounce and much more in addition to workouts to engage in that promotes and encourages active healthier lifestyles.
Invited guests include DC Mayor Muriel Bowser, DC Deputy Mayor Courtney Snowden, Ward 7 Councilman Vincent gray, Boys and Girls club of America, Union kitchen DC, Greater Washington Urban League, Metro, Industrial Bank, United Medical Center, various governmental agencies as well as local hospitals, health clubs, parks and recreation, department of health, schools, retirement communities, faith based organizations, senior centers and more!
