Service Story Slam

April 11, 2017

06:30 PM - 10:30 PM EDT

Washington, DC Platoon

Event overview

Inspire and be inspired with DC 5th Platoon as we unite with the Service Year Alliance's DC Chapter for a powerful night of storytelling! We've had like-minded Returned Peace Corps Volunteers and AmeriCorps Volunteers roll up their sleeves with us at the Washington Youth Garden and Hendley Elementary already this year. The Service Story Slam will be an opportunity to share the stage and learn even more about what we have in common while building and strengthening valuable relationships within the service community. Join us as we pay homage to National Service. Hear stories from those who serve, and those who have been affected by service. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.

What To Wear

Because Story Slam is taking place in a bar environment, we ask if you plan on drinking (drink specials all night), that you do not rock your Mission Continues swag for this one!

What to Bring

Any friends interested in national service? Bring them along! Just have them register as well.

Inclement Weather

This event is taking place indoors at Recessions, a below-ground budget bar.
