The Miami 1st Service Platoon will be working to clean up the mangroves at Deering Estates on Saturday May 20th. We would love to see as many members and their families in attendance. Please register so we know how many people to expect. Why is mangrove clean up vital to our environment? - Mangroves protect shorelines from erosion - Mangroves serve as valuable nursery areas for fish and invertebrates - Mangroves Support Threatened and Endangered Species - Mangroves are utilized in many parts of the world as a renewable resource
