When Cavazos Elementary School Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO)'s president Bonita Henderson heard about all the fantastic things the Killeen Service Platoon was doing, she reached out for our assistance to build a garden that would accommodate children with disabilities while providing fresh fruits and vegetables to those in need. Please join the Killeen Service Platoon in serving our local community by assisting the Cavazos Elementary PTO in installing newly-build planters in their school garden. For this phase 2 of our project, we will build at least six (6) Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-compliant planters to install in the renovated school garden π₯¬π₯¦π₯πΆπ½. We will have music, snacks, fruits, and drinks on site. Once we finished installing the new planters, we will invite the school children, including those with physical and cognitive disabilities, to plant fruits and vegetables in the garden. This project is also in support of The Mission Continues' Operation Nourish and Operation Green Thumb. We hope that you can join us in making a positive impact on the community of Nolanville and the lives of our disabled school children at the Cavazos Elementary School. Charlie Mike!
