This year in support of MVA #prideinyourblock we will be cleaning up the walk/jog path around the perimeter of Silverlake Reservoir and Silverlake neighborhood. This city is close to my heart as I worked at Bodybuilder Gym in Hyperion and found a very welcoming and earth-friendly and very proud LGBTQ community. I learned to become an ALLY and to be more accepting of others. Take PRIDE IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD by cleaning it up a little. In keeping with our State and Local government required Covid-19 protections we are not allowed for groups larger than 10. I will only be a Block leader/guide and bring a first aid kit and extra masks. BUT WE WILL MAINTAIN DISTANCING. This is in support of the Minority Veterans of America Pride Block Parrty: "#MVAPrideBlockParty is a way to engage with each other in camaraderie and meaningful celebration of pride while maintaining a safe social distance. MVA invites you to join us on June 27-28 by showing #PrideInYourBlock in whatever way you choose and whichever way makes you smile. You can collect trash, plant a garden, draw chalk pictures, play hopscotch, reach out to those who need assistance, fly a Pride flag, share stories, or post a yard sign.!" I will park on Glendale Blvd. and wait for 30 minutes. From 7:45 to 8:15 am then begin to walk along Silverlake Blvd until we make a full loop. I will have 50-gallon trash bags and gloves to give for your safety.
