Operation Nourish: Ramping Up the Herald of Hope

June 25, 2020

08:00 AM - 01:00 PM EDT

Orlando Platoon

Event overview

The Mission Continues Orlando 1st Platoon has been supporting The Herald of Hope Food Pantry. This amazing partner has been supplying food to families in need. The last two drives help bring much needed food to an approximate total of 1100 families here in Orlando. In supporting the food pantry we identified areas for improvement. Previously they were required to offload and reload every food item needed to be stored in their outside refrigeration storage unit. We will be "ramping up" their processes by building a ramp leading into the storage unit. This simple ramp will save hours of manpower by reducing the need to offload/reload every item that needs to be refrigerated. We will also be constructing some other tools that pantry can use to help control traffic during their. Current safety guidelines: >Maintain social distancing >Wear face mask and gloves when required >We will NOT be doing manual registration, please ensure you register electronically CHARLIE MIKE!
