United Way Essential Services Support Opportunity

May 22, 2020

10:30 AM - 01:00 PM CDT

Nashville Platoon

Event overview

There is a volunteer opportunity to support the Montgomery County Veteran's Coalition and the United Way as they provide essential services to the community in Clarksville experiencing homelessness. Duties involved will include operating as a shower truck attendant to afford this population the dignity and basic right to cleanliness so many of us often take for granted. This will take place at the Burt Cobb Community Center on Fri, May 22nd from 10:30am-1pm. Please note all Covid-19 precautions per CDC guidelines will strictly be followed and PPE will be available for your use. As we adjust to the state of Tennessee reopening, know that our volunteers health and safety comes first and foremost and any in-person volunteer opportunity is simply an offer being extended to those willing and able to get out and continue serving the community and it is NEVER an expectation of you.
