04:00 PM - 05:30 PM PDT

Portland Platoon

Event overview

Almost ninety (90) percent of WWII Veterans who survived WWII have passed away since the war ended 71 years ago. Approximately 1,000 WWII veterans pass away daily across America. Their average age is in the late 80s. Honor Flights objective is to take all WWII, Korea, and Vietnam veterans who apply for Honor Flight to Washington DC, as SOON AS POSSIBLE! We will be welcoming back the veterans of Honor Flight of Portland and thanking them for their service after their flight to see their monuments in Washington DC. The goal is to line as much of the concourse with flags and cheers to bring these Veterans Home.
